I’m not a flat earther, but I do enjoy reading about conspiracy theories and this one in particular has had a lot of discussion around it with my friends lately. I have a few friends who really think the earth is flat.

My question is… why would the government lie about it? What is the purpose? Who cares if the earth is round? Or flat?

Most conspiracy theories have a basis behind them as to how/why they came about usually with a narrative the government is trying to push. What am I missing with this one?
