To whom it may concern: I am writing to assert my right to a religious exemption for current and future vaccine mandates. I am Christian that believes the Bible is the inspired word of God and I have a sincerely held belief that vaccination is against my faith. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 the Bible states “Or do you not know your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” Therefore, it is my religious obligation to keep my temple pure. In Psalm 91:1-4 the Bible states “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.’ Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with his feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.” As you can see from this beautiful piece of scripture those that trust in God will be protected from the “perilous pestilence” and it is my sincerely held belief that submitting to vaccination would require me to break my faith with God and put my trust in man, which I will not do. In the past I have been vaccinated from Hepatitis A/B, TDAP, MMR, tuberculosis, and varicella when I was a child and much younger however my sincerely held beliefs have changed over the past year and a half. Last year, when the lockdowns began in March of 2020 work was scarce for a nurse in the float pool and I barely worked for three months so I decided with my free time to read the word of God. I then began to study a prophecy in Daniel about a vision God gave king Nebuchadnezzar about future world kingdoms that would follow Babylon through an image of a statue. The prophecy starts with Babylon being the head of gold, Medes-Persians being the chest of silver, Greece being the stomach of brass, Rome being the legs of iron, and feet of iron and clay refers to the last days which I believe we are in right now. Daniel 2:42-44 “And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and party of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, THEY WILL MINGLE WITH THE SEED OF MAN; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay. And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed…” It is my sincerely held belief that vaccines are a fulfillment of this prophecy when in the last days they will “mingle with the seed of man”. Therefore, I will no longer be receiving any more vaccines because it is against my faith. Sincerely,
