The Taliban are obviously not very nice people, but Afghanistan provides a clear example of how a small, dedicated group can stand against a far larger and more technologically advanced military. People always say that if an insurgent anti-government movement in the U.S. were to arise, they would be instantly crushed by the military, but the U.S. military is so bloated, corrupt and incompetent, that even a very small group could hold out against the government for decades.

I do not advocate violence of any kind and advocate civil disobedience instead, but if the U.S. government ever did decide to declare war on the American people, don't think they'd have an easy time of it.
